Westport Woman’s Club Awards Spring 2022 Community Service Grants

Westport, Connecticut- Community service has been a hallmark of the Westport Woman’s Club since its inception in 1907. Each year, club members devote many hours to finding the right balance between the current needs of the local community, the funds available and the mission of the WWC. The 29 recipients of this year’s Community Service Grant address a variety of social needs, including homelessness, family crises and food insecurity.

The 2022 WWC Community Service Grants, totaling $39,000, have been awarded to the following Fairfield County nonprofits: Bridgeport Caribe Youth Leaders; Bridgeport Rescue Mission; Burroughs Community Center; Caroline House, Inc.; Center for Family Justice; SW CT Child Advocates; Circle of Care for Families of Children with Cancer, Inc; Circle of friends; Clasp Homes, Inc.; Domestic Violence Crisis Center; ElderHouse, Inc; Family and Children’s Agency, Inc; Food Rescue USA; Help for children; Homes with Hope, Inc; Social Services Council/Children’s Connection; Malta House, Inc.; Person to Person, Inc; Positive directions; REACH Youth Program at Bridgeport Hospital; Regional Hospice of Western CT, Inc; Sainte-Catherine Center for Special Needs; Sweet P Bakery; The Rowan Center; City of Westport, Department of Social Services – Family Programs; City of Westport, Department of Social Services – Elderly; Westport Community Theatre; Women’s Mentoring Network, Inc; VFW.

The Westport Woman’s Club, organized in 1907, is a non-profit philanthropic organization dedicated to volunteerism and fundraising to support educational, charitable, cultural and public health services in Westport and surrounding towns.
