An update on the Lake Highlands Middle School construction project will take place on September 2 at 6:30 p.m.

Richardson ISD will hold the update on construction plans at Lake Highlands Junior High School auditorium. The district welcomes any questions or comments from neighbors about the project at the meeting.

The last update on the project took place at a RISD Board of Directors in June. There, staff were tasked with making adjustments to the construction design in response to landlord requests to move the dumpsters onto the new school. Redesigning to accommodate the change adds about $1 million to the project.

The college is transitioning to a college under a district change, approved and paid for by a $750 million bond pass in 2021. Lake Highlands Junior High is in the front line for transformation.
