OAKLAND, Calif., Aug. 30, 2022 (Newswire.com) –
NUG, Inc., a vertically integrated California-based cannabis company, today announced the launch of a new program that reinforces its commitment to social equity and community. The NUG Community Program lifts underrepresented brands in cannabis committed to community reinvestment and engagement, normalization of the cannabis plant, and social justice.
The goal is to create consistent retail sales through merchandising and promotional support across the growing NUG network for brands owned and operated by people from communities who do not have representation adequate in the cannabis industry. “We are thrilled to launch this effort which builds on our commitment to normalize the cannabis experience by supporting social equity and community reinvestment,” said NUG CEO John Oram. “It is important for us to continue to find new ways to support the greater equity community – this includes how we help support success and increase shelf sales in our NUG stores.”

The program is open to all underrepresented brands in California and may include brands currently or formerly marketed by NUG retailers.
