The third meeting of the Port of Thessaloniki Users Council took place successfully on Thursday, May 12, 2022, chaired by Mr. Athanasios Liagkos, Executive Chairman of the Board of ThPA SA, with the active participation of Mr. Franco Nicola Cupolo, managing director – the managing director of ThPA SA, the representatives of the bodies concerned, as well as the managers and partners of the company.
The meetings of the Thessaloniki Port Users’ Council are an important platform for dialogue between members of the port community. Their objective is to exchange on issues of common interest and initiatives that reinforce the growth orientation of ThPA SA.
In this context, the third meeting, attended by 21 representatives of 21 organizations, focused on the progress of the infrastructure development projects carried out in the Port, the upgrading of the equipment and services provided, as well as the improvement continuous connectivity.
In addition, emphasis was placed on the Port’s significant tourism growth prospects, following the good start to the season, following last year’s excellent performance in cruises and ferries.
Commenting on the proceedings of the meeting, the Executive Chairman of the Board of ThPA SA, Athanasios Liagkos, said: “The excellent cooperation between ThPA SA and the users of the port of Thessaloniki has once again been confirmed. We share a common vision with the entire port community regarding the constant evolution of the port and its international competitiveness. Within this framework, at ThPA SA, we continue to implement projects and initiatives that reinforce our role as a gateway to growth for Thessaloniki, Greece and the wider region of South-Eastern, Central and Eastern Europe” .
