Jenny helps associates engage with start-up companies.

Jenny manages HB Get Started, Husch Blackwell’s firm-wide initiative designed to provide hands-on experience for associates through engagement with start-up companies and the organizations that support them. Partners with at least one year with the firm are eligible to participate in the program, which actively seeks opportunities to engage with entrepreneurs and founders through sponsorships, conferences, content creation and service delivery legal. Jenny’s role is to help partners apply the skills they have learned through the firm’s partners and professional development programs in the real world.

Jenny has long been passionate about entrepreneurship and its impact on local communities and the economy in general. She is excited about the contribution new businesses make to the cultural fabric of their cities, and she finds great satisfaction in helping entrepreneurs thrive. Prior to joining the company, Jenny served as Senior Director of KCSourceLink, an initiative of the University of Missouri-Kansas City Innovation Center. She has worked with thousands of entrepreneurs each year, connecting them with resources and organizations to help them build and grow their businesses with the goal of making Kansas City a national hub for entrepreneurship.

After nine years developing the entrepreneurial ecosystem, Jenny joined Husch Blackwell, eager to see a law firm seek broader engagement with early-stage founders. She was especially thrilled to see the lawyers’ great passion for their work and to help them put that passion to work for start-ups, connecting them with projects that will grow their careers, help local entrepreneurs and grow their businesses. communities.
