OF THE PINE LEVEL INCORPORATION COMMITTEE

Information materials and petitions are being made available to residents regarding the proposed incorporation of Pine Level. A community meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on August 22 at Marbury High School for those interested.

pine level [Autauga County], AL — Members of the committee formed to pursue Pine Level incorporation have worked tirelessly to prepare materials and an online presence to educate area residents about the benefits of forming the town of Pine Level. With meetings taking place on average twice a month, the active members of the committee have created an information brochure and a website with the aim of sharing all the facts with the community. In addition, a community meeting is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on August 22 at Marbury High School.

Generally positive community response

Committee members began surveying neighborhoods, sharing information with residents, gauging levels of interest, and obtaining signatures from property owners interested in incorporating the community. The initial reaction of residents who have been visited has been positive.

Legal proceedings initiated

The committee has retained the services of a lawyer experienced in the municipal incorporation process to ensure that all activities are carried out in a legal manner. The attorney has been involved with municipal incorporations statewide and reviews all forms and information to ensure Alabama state laws regarding incorporation are followed.

Information material available on the website

The committee created a brochure which was also shared on social media. A website, http://pinelevelalincorporation.com/ has been published to supplement the content of the brochure. Additionally, the committee has created an email account, [email protected], so that residents can contact the committee with questions.
