So far, 2022 has been a busy year for Vacaville Parks meetings.
The Parks and Recreation Master Plan, approved in 2021, outlines city parks that need improvement. As a result, the city has held virtual community meetings to present plans for potential changes and solicit community feedback on what they would like to see.
Located near the intersection of Alamo Drive and Buck Avenue, Alamo Creek offers 9.5 acres of amenities including a playground, bike path, tennis courts, basketball court, iron horse, picnic tables and a footpath that leads to the creek of the same name.
City suggestions for potential upgrades include pickleball markings, a full-size basketball court, and path and landscaping upgrades. Vacaville residents, especially those who live in or visit the park, are invited to provide their thoughts on these proposals as well as anything else they would like to see in Alamo Creek.
The next park scheduled for a community meeting is Trower Park on March 10.
